As Vice President Kamala Harris contends with intense scrutiny over her handling of the border crisis and other key issues, members of her staff are experiencing low morale and struggling to communicate with top staffers, according to multiple reports on Wednesday.
Communication issues and distrust between aides and senior officials on Harris’ team, including her chief of staff Tina Flournoy, have contributed to a “tense and at times dour office atmosphere.” Politico reported, citing interviews with 22 current and former aides.
Much of the criticism was directed at Flournoy, who aides claimed has limited access to Harris and contributed to a culture “where ideas are ignored or met with harsh dismissals and decisions are dragged out.”
“People are thrown under the bus from the very top, there are short fuses and it’s an abusive environment,” one person with knowledge of operations at Harris’ office told the outlet. “It’s not a healthy environment and people often feel mistreated. It’s not a place where people feel supported but a place where people feel treated like s—.” [from Fox News 7-1-21]
If true, none of it should be surprising.
People without competence or talent, who are in way over their heads, are not nice people. They’re anxious, because on some level they know they are frauds, and don’t deserve what they have. Anxiety, in most cases where you’re given unearned responsibility, makes you cranky and mean.
Kamala Harris, like her boss who suffers from dementia and lack of talent himself, is a place card. You can make your own guesses about who’s really in charge — Obama, tech giant CEOs, George Soros. Take your pick. My guess? It’s some combination of all of them. They form the Party elite just like the Communist Party elite that ran Soviet Russia, Maoist China, or the similar elite who rules China today. People rise to power in such dictatorships because they serve some purpose for the advancement of power, not because of actually earned influence. Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson would have found NO home there.
When you know, on some level, that you’re inept and incapable of doing what you’re supposed to be doing, you cannot help but despise the people around you who fawn over you, and who fear you. In a way, it all makes you angry. Even Kamala Harris probably understands it’s the OFFICE created by men far, far greater than herself that cause people to hold her in awe. She just happened to step into that office, not just based on election fraud (as many of us suspect), but because of qualities over which she never had any control — her race and gender. Democrats wanted a black person and a woman … so they grabbed her.
I would be shocked and confused to learn that Kamala Harris is a nice person. Remember: She belongs to the party of totalitarian control. She chose this as her ideology and life purpose. She doesn’t seek to make people free. She aims to make people her slaves, with herself as the master.
There’s nothing nice about that.
