The media is killing us.
Here’s the problem: Most of us are trained to believe the media — blindly. We may think we’re cool, cynical and sophisticated. Especially if we’re Democrats. But media professionals on CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox News and elsewhere are ACTORS. They are trained professionals. They know how to make themselves sound believable, earnest, honest and objective. NONE OF THEM ARE ANY OF THOSE THINGS. There was a time when some news journalists were, to a degree. But now none of them are. If they were, they would have been fired long before appearing on your television, computer or cell phone screen.
Yes, they are biased. But it almost flatters them too much to say they’re ideologically biased. Most of them are vapid. Most of them are not smart enough to be ideologically anything. Katie Couric? You really think she has IDEAS? Don Lemon? Seriously? They are polished entertainers, perfect performers. But their minds are … well, little more than cotton candy.
A few of them are smarter than average, perhaps, but not smart enough to know the difference between capitalism and socialism, or between totalitarianism and freedom. They don’t really care. They inhabit different psychological and economic universes than most of us. All they have to worry about is looking good and pleasing their bosses — all of whom are part of the Establishment, i.e., the collectivist, Communist-socialist-fascist monstrosity, whatever you wish to label them. They are mostly pretty stupid people who work for very bad people, many of them traceable to villains like Jack Dorsey, Bill Gates, George Soros, Mark Zuckerberg and others who will destroy the world with their narcissistic, toxic, phony do-gooderism, if given a chance.
When you watch the news, you’re watching a PERFORMANCE. This is true of any network and even a lot of podcasts. They’re doing it to gain viewers, attention and money. There is nothing wrong with these motives. These motives make the world go around. But seeing it as anything other than what it is … well, that’s fatal.
If you doubt me, look at the state of the world in 2020 and 2021. It has gone batshit crazy. We are on the verge of a truly totalitarian USA, perhaps the greatest totalitarian nightmare yet seen. Without the media, and the slavish belief in it by tens of millions of people, none of it would be possible.
