A group of Senate Democrats unveiled a proposal on Friday that would give most Americans a monthly payment of $2,000 until the coronavirus pandemic begins to fade.
Sens. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Ed Markey, D-Mass., released the so-called Monthly Economic Support Act that would dramatically expand the one-time stimulus payments of $1,200 sent to most Americans as part of the massive relief package signed at the end of March.
Similar to a House bill proposed in mid-April, the senators called for $2,000 cash payments to every American who earns less than $120,000. it would expand to $4,000 for married couples and also provided an extra $2,000 for each child up to three.
Will President Trump and Senate Republicans reject these proposals, as the economic depression worsens or drags on? We’ll see. If they do reject these proposals, it will be the first big spending bills they have turned down for months.
And, of course, if Democrats retake the Senate and White House in the fall, you can be sure of it … and much worse. What about hyperinflation? Because hyperinflation of the currency will have to occur if we’re to spend trillions and trillions of dollars the economy does not have, and will never have.
We are living the Communist dream. Shut down most human activity. Give all Americans $2000/month. That’s a lot of money if there’s nothing to spend it on. And now everyone depends on the government for their pitiful income, so the government can tell them what to do. It’s incredible how FAST it all happened–without firing a shot, or even holding an election.
