Frightened Career Politicians: It’s a Beautiful Thing

“After uproar, [Delaware] Gov. Carney backtracks, allows firearms stores to open by appointment only.” Previously, in the state’s lockdown, Governor Carney left flower shops often because they’re considered “essential” businesses; but gun shops were closed, indefinitely. As my podcast co-host and former U.S. Senate candidate Rob Arlett put it, “I can buy my wife flowers, but I can’t protect her with a gun.”

There was so much pushback and uproar from Second Amendment supporters in Delaware that the Governor was forced to walk it back. Evidently a similar thing happened in neighboring Pennsylvania. [Story here]
