The Stupid, Brazenly Unconstitutional Impeachment of President Trump: Let’s Review

From the Daily Wire:

“Alleged Identity Of Whistleblower Leaked; Whistleblower’s Lawyers Release Statement Threatening Journalists”

So let’s review.

Democrats and the media scream that the President of the United States made a secret, illegal deal with the leader of the Ukraine.

They claim they have a “whistle blower” — no, multiple whistle blowers — whose identity they refuse to reveal. They claim this whistle blower will prove the illegal deal, based on an overheard phone call.

The President promptly releases a transcript of the phone call for which the “whistle” is to be “blown”, a call (we were told) that would be the “smoking gun” exposing his supposed guilt.

The transcript proves there was nothing illegal at all; that, in fact, the screams of the Democrats and their media were completely false and arbitrary. If President Trump is guilty of any crime, former Vice President Biden and his son Hunter are guilty of a far, far worse one involving improper “business” deals with the Ukraine. No comment from Democrats or the media.

Democrats and the media proceed with impeachment anyway. They hold secret hearings only for members of their own party. For the first time in American history, and against both the letter and the spirit of the U.S. Constitution, the Democrats (plus Mitt Romney) and the media intend to remove the President from office without ever letting him — and the millions who voted for him — know the facts, including the identity of the whistle blower.

Now it seems that the identities of one or several of these whistle blowers has been leaked by the media, or might be. The whistle blowers (and their lawyers) are mad as hell. They’re aiming to sue the media, illustrating the principle of how liars, soicopaths and criminals will always turn on each other, in the end.

Could any Hollywood writer ever have conceived of such a script?
