PC Kills: Orlando Killer’s Complicit Widow Walks

The jury foreman in the concluded trial of Noor Salman — widow of Pulse nightclub gunman Omar Mateen – said jurors were “convinced” she knew of the attack beforehand, but had “no option but to return a verdict of not guilty.”

Why “no choice”? Salman faced charges of obstructing justice and aiding and abetting a crime. Evidence was overwhelming in favor of both, according even to the jury.

Salman wasn’t faced with charges for the slaughter itself. Clearly that was the evil handiwork of her late husband. But by what reasoning do you let someone totally off the hook — under the law — when overwhelming evidence for breaking that law exists? Particularly when it involves compliance with such a horrifically savage crime?

Why do we even have a law, if juries cannot be expected to uphold it when considerations of political correctness get in the way? Or does the law not apply when the implications of upholding the law and justice are tainted by concerns over “social sensitivity” and political correctness?

It just never ends, does it?

In a statement provided to the Orlando Sentinel, the juror — who requested to remain anonymous — said “a verdict of not guilty did NOT mean that we thought Noor Salman was unaware of what Omar Mateen was planning to do,” rather that the jury was “not tasked with deciding if she was aware of a potential attack.”

“On the contrary we were convinced she did know,” the statement continued. “She may not have known what day, or what location, but she knew.”

And yet there’s no legal culpability whatsoever. Even though laws against such things do exist. Does a jury get to ignore the law when it’s convenient? Would the outcome have been different if, say, a white supremacist had shot up a bar filled with black people? If the shooter was killed in the incident and evidence existed that his wife or girlfriend had known all along, and had lied to the police and the FBI, do you think the outcome would have been the same as it was in this case?

It seems that whenever Islam enters the picture, rationality, evidence and justice are thrown out the window. Completely. Even when the victims are primarily gays and lesbians in an openly gay establishment. Gays and lesbians normally enjoy politically correct protection, often unjustly as in the case of the bakery owner who’s legally forced to bake a gay wedding cake even though it violates his personal beliefs. Yet when it comes to Islam, we can’t hold anyone accountable, even when the actual individual rights of gays and lesbians were brutally denied. Islam gets a total blank check morally, legally and socially for literally anything.

It’s sadly more evidence that PC kills. This time it’s primarily gays and lesbians who are the victims of the political correctness, ironically enough.

Mateen killed 49 people and wounded 58 others at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Fla., on June 12, 2016, before he was killed by police.

Salman avoided a potential life sentence Friday after she was found not guilty on charges of obstruction and aiding and abetting by attempting to provide material support to a terrorist organization – a controversial decision that left survivors frustrated and angry.

…Salman was acquitted of charges including lying to the FBI and aiding her husband in the attack.

Yet there was overwhelming evidence supporting she lied to the FBI. She all but admitted it, according to testimony from the trial.

We’ve seen this before. If you’re Hillary Clinton or one of her many powerful cronies in the D.C. Swamp, you’ll never face accountability for lying to the FBI. You and I most certainly would. Donald Trump could face it even without actually lying to the FBI. Yet if evidence exists to convict you of aiding and abetting in one of the most brutal slaughters in American history, so long as you belong to the ultimate of politically protected groups — Muslims — then you’re off the hook completely.

“What kind of message does this send to the world?” Tiara Parker, a survivor[] of the shooting, told Fox News on “The Story” on Friday. “This sends to the world that it’s OK to do things like this. And that’s not what we’re here for.”

The acquittal was “devastating” and “no justice was served,” she added.

The message it sends to the world is that our culture is a safe haven for terrorists who wish to annihilate our civilization and way of life in the name of their crudely primitive and barbarous ideologies.

The message is that PC is alive and well in middle America, and that our media and government-run schools have done their jobs in training people to think that you can excuse anything in the name of political correctness — even participating in ruthlessly savage bloodshed.

Accountability only applies to those of us who belong to politically unsafe groups. Being gay/lesbian is often a safe group, but not when it comes to an attack by a Muslim done in the name of Islam. At that point, all bets are off.

If this isn’t evidence that PC literally kills, I don’t know what is.
