A leaked memo from the left-wing organization, the Center for American Progress Action Fund, admits that passing an amnesty for the nearly 800,000 illegal aliens shielded from deportation by the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program is “a critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success.”
According to the memo sent to Democrats, which is co-authored by former Hillary Clinton official Jennifer Palmieri, the Democratic Party is relying on a DACA amnesty deal — that President Trump seems more open to now than ever before — in order to ensure future wins in Congressional and presidential elections.
I have no difficulty believing any of this. Democrats are autocrats. They are the twenty-first century version of Communist totalitarians – American-style.
Democrats want power. The only way to secure power forever is to make a majority of people dependent on the welfare/entitlement/transfer-of-wealth state from cradle to grave. With generally compliant Republicans giving in – including, quite possibly, President Trump on DACA – they will rule forever.
But there’s another point to consider.
If the Democrats are right that the vast majority of immigrants are stupid enough to want socialism, then what does this say about the intellectual and moral quality of these immigrants? They’re fleeing the very kinds of policies in countries like Cuba, Venezuela, Mexico, Iran and elsewhere that Democrats seek to impose on them here.
If immigrants are really this stupid and deplorable, then the Democrats should be careful what they wish for. Because for America to go on being a desirable and flourishing place to live in the future, the caliber of people coming to our country will have to be higher than the types of people they assume today’s immigrants to be.
If Democrats are to preside as a permanent majority over a nation of dependent sheep, someone will still have to generate the loot. And sheep don’t produce prosperity.
It’s beyond race, culture or even immigration itself. No society where the dominant majority look to external authorities (i.e., productive citizens) to take care of them has any hope of surviving.
So we might say to Democrats, “Careful what you wish for. You’re doing everything you can to recruit people who crave dependence, government power and government control above liberty and self-responsibility. Those are the kinds of immigrants you need in order to survive as the power freaks that you are. But what will it get you, in the end? A country no better than the Marxist and other totalitarian regimes they have fled.”
I sincerely hope the Democrats are wrong, and that the immigrants they’re defending really do want a nation of individual liberty and economic freedom, where people are permitted both to earn and keep their wealth.
But if the Democrats are right, and I realize the numbers support it, then America as we know it will be a done deal in another generation or two.
And remember: If the vast majority of millennials (most of them white, non-immigrants) don’t change their minds about the desirability of socialism, we’re going to decline anyway. Immigrants may be the least of our problems.
The future isn’t determined by the skin color or race of anyone. It’s determined by the ideas of the people and those they choose to guide them. Either the ideas are grounded in reason, freedom and liberty – or their opposites.
One thing’s for sure: We know which side the Democrats are on.
