Beware The Art of the Deal

Here’s the thing about “deals”: You can’t trade a deal for a principle.

For instance, you don’t make a deal with a crook. You don’t tell the crook, “OK, you can have half my bank account and just one of my two cars. But you don’t get everything.” And then congratuate yourself on the art of the deal.

That’s what President Trump must remember about Democrats. They do not share any principles with those of the original U.S. Constitution, based on the rights of the individual.

You compromise with such people at everyone’s peril.
