The elites tell us that your race determines your philosophical point of view. But here are two persons of the same (black) race (Justice Jackson, Justice Thomas), with entirely opposite views. How do the elites explain this fact? One of them is right, and one of them is wrong.

What’s in a leftist mind when “celebrating” July 4? What animates the feeling of joy? Is it free college? Is it free health care for serial killers or rapists who are not legal citizens? Is it big burly men in drag urinating in a ladies room, or crushing the competition in a women’s tennis match? Or the sterling educational achievements of the American public school system since 1980? Or perhaps taxing Elon Musk at 90 percent, not hurting him too much, but destroying thousands of jobs and health benefits for people struggling on a pittance from the government? Or maybe the thought of a Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s taken over by a Mamdani administrative assistant with nose rings, purple hair and a $50K unpaid student loan for a major in lesbian Somali economics? I am really interested in understanding why or how a leftist Democrat celebrates July 4, because I have a funny suspicion we do not celebrate the same things.

Question for Democrats: Do you still support expanding the Supreme Court to 13 justices if the 4 new justices rule exactly like Clarence Thomas? Or do you only support expanding the Supreme Court if the 4 new justices rule exactly like the Obama appointees? It seems to me if there is some principled, substantive reason for expanding the size of the Supreme Court, you want to do so regardless of the views of the justices who will serve, correct? Certainly you wouldn’t advocate this change for expediency. In which case, if President Trump and the current Republican Senate expanded the Court to 13 justices today, you’d be just as fine as you would be if a Democrat Congress and President did so, correct?
