It’s interesting–and revealing. The great majority claim to mistrust the government, in the abstract. But in actual practice, especially during crucial periods such as 2020-22, the great majority take it for granted that government knows best, is almost incapable of error, and is more trustworthy in a crisis than any other source–including one’s own judgment. I noticed this during the financial and economic meltdown of 2007-09, as well.
Therein lies the sickness of our culture. All else are merely symptoms. The invading barbarians, the rise to power of tyrants in our cities, the radicalization of the Democratic Party into a mob of totalitarian psychopaths, the obvious decay of intelligence, the deliberate release of violent criminals by judges while concurrently disarming the citizenry and defunding police, the death of dignity, beauty, manners, reverence, objective truth and rationality…none of these things would be possible if more of us had confidence in our own minds and judgment.
This deceased 13-year-old would still be alive too. And a lot of others who got the government-mandated jab. Today, most of us will not even talk about it. I wonder what the next government-induced calamity will be? And who will die from it? And who will profit from it?
