President Trump has reportedly spruced up the Federal City over the last year.
Trump pulled this off because the current mayor of D.C. backed down — a rarity for a Democrat.
However, in the primary for her successor, D.C. voters have elected (by a landslide) a “democratic socialist” (translation: totalitarian Communist) as the next mayor. It will be like Trump vs. Mamdani in D.C., as the Communist will work very hard to bring chaos, crime and substance abuse/mental illness back to the streets. The Commie won’t back down but I don’t expect Trump will either. Unfortunately, the Commie’s term will outlast Trump’s, so you might want to avoid D.C. as it returns to a state of savagery when Trump leaves office.
