The best candidates for Governor in South Carolina were Nancy Mace and Ralph Norman — by far. Neither won the primary. Instead, the runoff consists of a (1) lackluster woman who might not have been a Republican before moving to South Carolina from Ohio (and profits off DEI in her business), and (2) an Attorney General who seems to have a soft spot for violent criminals and child predators (but happily stands up to the death penalty). I think this shows how complacent many Republican voters are in red states. “It can’t happen here,” they seem to feel. Complicating this matter is that South Carolina has an open primary, meaning that Democrats can vote for the Republican nominee. That’s insane–but it’s still the law in South Carolina because of that very complacency in the voters, along with the usual corruption of most politicians. And I am not talking just about South Carolina. I am talking about how all red states are vulnerable. Colorado was once a red state. Look at the legal situation in Texas, where blacks seeking to kill whites can be given an easy ride. And I fear for Florida after DeSantis leaves office. He was a rare one.
Be careful out there. The world is crazy and the bad guys are still gaining ground because of ignorance, cowardice and complacency.
