Despite a supermajority, a few Republicans in deep-red South Carolina have wobbled on the issue of redistricting, since the Supreme Court outlawed gerrymandering based on race.
The Republican leader of South Carolina’s state Senate (Shane Massey, now the darling of The New York Times) defied President Donald Trump and voted against a redistricting effort that could have slashed the state’s only Democrat-led congressional district, arguing that “South Carolina is stronger when we have a vibrant Democratic Party.”
Seriously? Do we actually need a Communist Party to make America stronger? Do we need a political movement in favor of censorship, gun confiscation, genital mutilation of children, state-run education, power blackouts, unlimited taxes and regulations, Sharia Law — all so we can be stronger?
There’s only one thing worse than a Democrat–and that’s a Republican who has been in office too long. I wonder who’s paying (or blackmailing) this creep to vote against his own claimed beliefs. The leader of the state Senate in South Carolina has gone against everyone in his own party, South Carolina’s present Governor and the state’s probable next Governor Nancy Mace.
This apologist for totalitarian rule, Shane Massey, has got to go. I am reading that both South Carolina and Georgia may hold special sessions this week to push their state governments to redistrict and attempt to save America. If America goes down, it won’t be the Democrats who destroy us. They’re not strong enough. It’s the RINOs who will provide them the ammo. No punishment is too severe for RINOs. They are the worst of the scum.
