Government employees, for the most part, are either (1) doing nothing, or (2) interfering with life and liberty, and are therefore (in some measure) harming others. Any productive work actually done by federal employees could better be handled by the private sector. At the federal level we need a military and courts, and at the local level we need police and courts. That’s pretty much it. Elon’s now infamous email stirs the pot, and this is the reason why: we don’t need the vast majority of our government, and would be better off without it.
