People say they want to be informed. Yet the news depresses them. What to do? Be uninformed, and happy? Or informed and depressed? The problem is that most of the news isn’t news. It’s propaganda. It’s deliberately designed to bring you down, but in a way that has you coming back for more. Imagine a family member who brought you news of the family. He ONLY tells you the bad things, exaggerating the negative and minimizing the positive. Then add to that: He tells you things only in a way that serves his own narrative and biases. Would you really consider yourself informed about family matters? My advice: Be extremely discriminating in your choice of media. Always consider the source.
