President Trump has not only abolished DEI, but also Lyndon Johnson’s affirmative action order from the 1960s, in the federal government.
“The federal government’s hiring practices will now be merit-based, with employees being rewarded for ‘individual initiative, skills, performance, and hard work.'”
Only one problem: Most government jobs don’t depend on merit. Most government agencies accomplish NOTHING, unless you consider impeding economic growth and squandering human potential of value.
I applaud President Trump’s courageous actions. He is a man of his word. However, I am ready for the next step: Abolishing most government jobs and agencies. Well, Congress?
By the way, President Trump cannot simply abolish DEI or the concept of favoritism in a free society. But it doesn’t have to be on the government’s $40 trillion nickel. You and I don’t have to be forced to pay for it (or endure inflation for it).
To hear leftists react, you’d think Trump had abolished DEI. You cannot abolish insanity. You can only refuse to fund or participate in it.
