America Masquerades as a Free, Open Society

According to USA Today, TV’s “Frasier” Kelsey Grammer’s comments praising Trump were deleted by Paramount (the sponsor of Grammer’s streaming show) from an interview Grammer did with BBC. In a normal and rational society, I would respect the right of a company not to risk alienation of half the audience (so long as it didn’t violate the actor’s contract with the production company). However, does anyone seriously think that Grammer’s comments, if they had involved praise of Biden and Democrats, would have been deleted?

We live in a closed and repressed society masquerading as a free, robust and open one.
