The Pursuit of Happiness is 24/7

“Success doesn’t come from what you do occasionally, but what you do consistently.” [unknown]

So true. Life and the pursuit of happiness are a 24-hour/7 day a week proposition.

You’re free to disregard this fact. But you can’t logically blame life for failing you if you don’t treat it right.

This is where most of the psychiatric angst so well documented — and so rarely eradicated — in today’s world comes from.

People are angry, hostile and bitter. It comes out in different ways, but it all has a cause. The cause ultimately is within the individual person who feels it.

So many people who were born into freedom and prosperity still have chips on their shoulders. They find something or someone to blame. But they never look at their own possibly erroneous thinking. It never occurs to them that life isn’t to blame — but that the way they APPROACH life might be. And that their underlying approach could be altered.

Psychiatry stands ready to give you a pill. At best, it reduces a few symptoms. But it never gets to the core of the issue. And this makes the individual more and more bitter.

On a social level, it’s little wonder most of the world has either turned against freedom and prosperity, or remains indifferent to their slow demise. What’s the point, after all? Of course, when the freedom and prosperity go away, they’ll even be more bitter.
