Once half or more of the country loses all trust in police and courts, civil war has started. It’s now a free-for-all, and if Trump is convicted and jailed, the cold war will probably turn hot. Because even Trump haters will see that other dissenters will follow, and justice will be both conditional and political, as in China, Russia or Cuba or Venezuela.
Get ready. You cannot wish this away; the collapse of any respect for a one-party, unaccountable regime (which Biden and his successors are, make no mistake) that punishes and imprisons its critics will not be pretty.
