Good Night, America

Trump slams Bragg after pleading not guilty: “I never thought anything like this could happen in America” [says a headline]

Don’t you conservatives understand? You can’t work within a system run by criminals to attain justice. This never would have happened in America. America was a free country. It no longer is. A free country does not indict and imprison people for felonies that are actually misdemeanors and for which the statute of limitations ran out years ago.

Don’t listen to me. Look at the facts. Criminals are in charge at the White House, at the FBI, at the DOJ and in the state of New York. And, quite frankly, in my opinion, in the U.S. military. They are not redeemable. They will not stop. They are going to imprison Donald Trump not because he broke a law, but because they want to, and because they can. Unless or until they are stopped, like we stopped Hitler, they will not stop. You don’t fight coercion with outrage. How well are we doing, using talk radio alone to stop totalitarian savages from using brute force to oppress anyone who challenges the Party?

Trump will lose his freedom if he tries to negotiate with people no more lawful than the worst enemies America ever faced. Until or unless we grow a backbone, the rest of us will lose our freedom too.

Stop saying, “It can’t happen here.” IT’S ALREADY HAPPENING HERE. So what are YOU going to do about it?

The world has truly gone mad. The Pope is a Communist. America is run by demented, sociopathic lunatics. Western civilization is on the verge of collapse despite its unparalleled technological and economic progress. We live in totally upside down times. Whatever comes of it all, one thing is certain: We cannot go on like this.

In the midst of everything, I actually agreed with something Mitt Romney said. Of course, he cannot possibly mean it.

When I look at Mitt Romney’s comments about the deranged Trump arraignment, I am reminded of Ayn Rand’s statement that there are two sides to every issue: a right side, a wrong side — and the middle, which is always evil.

Mitt Romney: “No one is above the law, not even former presidents, but everyone is entitled to equal treatment under the law. The prosecutor’s overreach sets a dangerous precedent for criminalizing political opponents and damages the public’s faith in our justice system.”

If the world has become too much even for a soulless, useless twit like Mitt Romney — then that’s a very bad sign.

Good night, America.
