So let me make sure I understand.
“Without social distancing, it would have been much worse.”
How do we know this?
“Because the number of deaths from coronavirus weren’t nearly as many as they might have been.”
Why is that?
“Because of social distancing.”
THIS IS NOT SCIENCE. IT’S CIRCULAR REASONING.
I am not trying to claim that social distancing is or is not useful. I am stating that you can only know this via objective evidence and through establishing logical causation. Social distancing is a HYPOTHESIS, at best.
Circular reasoning is not how you arrive at true conclusions. It’s the method of abusers, tyrants, rationalizers and other toxic people.
