Baltimore Bloodshed: Gun Control’s Model for America

“Baltimore Homicides on Track to Top 300 for 5th Consecutive Year”

Baltimore homicides exceeded 300 each year from 2015 through 2018, and 2019 is on track to cross the 300 threshold for the fifth year in a row.

The violence, including surges in homicides, has been all-too-present in the years since Maryland implemented the Firearm Safety Act in 2013. That act put in place many of the left’s favorite gun controls, such as an “assault weapons” ban and “high capacity” magazine ban. It also implemented a fingerprinting/registration process for new handgun buyers. [Breitbart News & the Baltimore Sun 7-28-19]

So Baltimore is the model for America — at least according to the anti-Second Amendment 2020 candidates for President. (That is to say: ALL of the candidates, except for President Trump.)

Remember: The main purpose of the Second Amendment isn’t to reduce crime (although it does). The main purpose of the Second Amendment is to make politicians in power afraid of the citizens. Because if the politicians are not afraid of the citizens, then politicians become criminals themselves. Like most of them have already done.

The Second Amendment is one of the few firewalls left protecting the individual’s right to pursue happiness and protect his or her private property. Criminals are a threat, in any society. But government is always the biggest threat. Criminals have to live on the run. Politicians do their looting, confiscation and redistribution out in the open, often with the moral sanction of many.

When you fight for your right to own a gun, you’re fighting for your right to live. Even if you do NOT own a gun or intend to do so, the right is deeper and wider than the right to a gun. We’re talking about the right to your life.

If you value even one of your freedoms, you better stand up for your right to own a gun.
