Prominent Democrats and members of left-wing media melted down on Wednesday in response to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s bumbling hearing in front of the House Judiciary Committee.
As the hearing unfolded, numerous critics across the political spectrum criticized Mueller’s seemingly dull mental dexterity and his inability to defend his work.
David Axelrod, a former senior advisor to President Obama, tweeted: “This is very, very painful.”
“This is delicate to say, but Mueller, whom I deeply respect, has not publicly testified before Congress in at least six years,” Axelrod added. “And he does not appear as sharp as he was then. And it helps explain why Mueller wanted his aide nearby.”
It’s not an issue of sharpness. It’s an issue of trying to be sharp when you know you’re dishonest.
The whole Russia/Trump “investigation”, from day one to the end, was about an arbitrary, baseless claim.
It would be like me running up to a stranger saying, “You killed my sister” and then expecting the stranger to prove that he DIDN’T kill my sister. Particularly when I don’t even have a sister.
Robert Mueller could not disprove the arbitrary. He could not take on the burden of proof when no evidence ever existed. The evidence only showed us how Obama’s and Hillary Clinton’s practices in government make the Netflix series “House of Cards” seem tame.
If it were children in a sandbox, we’d call the leftists and Democrats “childish”. When it’s adults after only one thing – POWER – then it’s far, far worse than childishness. I say it’s truly evil.
Mueller once had the respect of a bipartisan majority, from what I read. He squandered that respect for motives we’ll never know. My best guess? To be liked. Like other Republicans, he desperately wanted (and still wants) the approval and praise of a media/corporate/intellectual establishment that no longer has any credibility. At least, no longer has any credibility to rational, thinking people.
The Washington Post, the New York Times, CNN and all the rest – they are dead. They may continue to exist as businesses, but they have no credibility to anybody that matters. The only people in whose eyes they have credibility are the ones who seek to sabotage our entire system of government in the name of … power. And socialism. And the ability to be President (along with 30 others seeking the same office). As if in THEIR universe those things even matter. Because if leftist ideas and policies come to pass, America will matter about as much as any ruined empire or banana republic the world has ever known.
Mueller sacrificed it all for … CRAP. For nothing. For the ability to wipe out President Trump because, in his world, at his cocktail parties, and in the circles he inhabits, President Trump (and what he stands for) are not COOL.
In the real world, it’s somewhat different. The real world is not the one inhabited by leftists, socialists, Democrats, members of the media elite and members of the corporate socialist Establishment.
Follow the money and you will find … nothing. Metaphysical “nothingness”.
How sad for Robert Mueller, who has reached his dead end. And of course he stuttered and stammered.
