You don’t have to justify your existence by sacrificing or giving to others.
You don’t have to justify your existence at all.
All you need to do is take responsibility for your existence. This means your personal happiness and serenity as well as your physical well-being.
If you’re not a mooch, a whiner, a guilt-inducer or a complainer — you’re in good shape. You have nothing to feel guilty or uneasy about.
I’m making a philosophical assertion here. But where you land on this philosophical point will determine much of your psychological state. This includes whether you live a life riddled with unearned guilt subject to the manipulations of toxic others, or a life filled with peace of mind.
If you’re secure in your own psychological skin, nobody can touch you — and no matter what they do to you, you’re still safe inside. Don’t forget that.
