What about the First Amendment?
The leftists are always saying, “You can’t yell fire in a crowded theater”. They’re not defending the private property rights of the theater owner, of course. They’re merely rationalizing away the First Amendment right to what they call hate speech (defined as any speech they dislike).
Yet these same leftists — who dominate virtually all of our media, including social media companies — are quick to hide under the skirts of the First Amendment when it comes time to excuse away OUTRIGHT AND DELIBERATE DECEIT.
Libel and slander laws are proper in a free society. Contemporary leftists — simply the modern-day versions of the fascists and Communists of earlier generations — lie for a living. Lying is all they do. Deception is what they are. Their entire ideology is based on lies and all of their tactics are based on lies.
While they have every First Amendment right to spread their ideas to a (sadly) willing and gullible population, they don’t have the right to commit outright and deliberate slander, over and over again, against individuals without civil consequences.
They don’t have the moral right and they should not have the legal right either, not in a free, civil society based on the rights of the individual.
