Why do leftists like to divide us?
America ended the Obama years more divided than any time since at least the 1960s.
At the rate we’re going, the Trump years will end with the most division we’ve seen since the 1860s — America’s Civil War.
And it’s not because of President Trump. It’s because of the way leftists respond to President Trump. They call him — and his supporters — “racists” for supporting things that have nothing to do with race. Tax cuts, regulation cuts, better trade deals with socialist nations, a stronger defense … none of these issues have anything to do with race. Yet if you take the Republican position on any of these issues, they scream you’re a “racist”.
What gives?
It’s because of the nature of leftism. Leftism views everyone as a member of a group. Whether it’s your gender, your race, your sexual orientation or your religion (Christianity and Judaism being bad, Islam being good) — it’s all about your group membership.
Leftists do not look at people as individuals. They look at people as members of warring groups. This sets us up in a constant struggle of all-against-all.
There’s no way you can have a positive outcome with this attitude. It’s a recipe for divisiveness. The more political our society becomes — thanks to leftists in media, sports, entertainment, academia and the “Deep State” government establishment turning everything political — the more divided people become.
When we think of ourselves as individuals, we’re not divided. It’s because we all have our individuality in common. And we all want our rights as individuals protected.
When you start to look at rights as things that only groups possess, as leftists and Democrats routinely do, then you’re set up to be at war with people who don’t share your demographic characteristics such as gender, race, sexual orientation, and all the rest.
It’s sad. And so unnecessary. America started out as a wilderness, which is the ultimate meritocracy. You survived on ability, or you perished. Then America became the first society in human history with a Bill of Rights and a Constitution designed with only one purpose: To protect the rights to life, liberty, property and the pursuit of happiness.
It’s not that complicated, in principle. Thanks to America, human beings had the answer they needed to turn into a civilized race finally free to develop its nearly unlimited potential. Subconsciously, at least, it’s what the best immigrants struggling to get into America are after.
Democrats, leftists, socialists and collectivists seek to divide us. They are the true haters. They stir up hate to advance their own warped ideology and their own personal power. They are the emotional abusers to end all emotional abusers.
They need not devour our Constitution and our freedom. But we have to see them for what they are, before we can stop them. It’s truly as simple as that.
