Maxine Waters and the Politics of Hate

Rep. Maxine Waters of California:

I have no sympathy for these people that are in this administration who know it’s wrong for what they’re doing on so many fronts. They tend to not want to confront this president or even leave, but they know what they’re doing is wrong. I want to tell you, these members of his cabinet who remain and try to defend him, they won’t be able to go to a restaurant, they won’t be able to stop at a gas station, they’re not going to be able to shop at a department store. The people are going to turn on them. They’re going to protest. They’re absolutely going to harass them until they decide that they’re going to tell the president, ‘No, I can’t hang with you.’ This is wrong. This is unconscionable. We can’t keep doing this to children.”

She actually said this.

Maxine Waters speaks for a lot of Democrats who will not say what she’s saying, but who act like they agree with her.

It’s quite literally tyranny.

Tyranny is rule by force and intimidation. That’s what Maxine Waters is advocating. And nobody in her party will call her out on it — because they agree. They feel the same way.

It shouldn’t surprise us. Everything her party stands for is based on tyranny. You will get your health care on the terms the government decides. You will engage only in speech — “love speech” (like Maxine Waters?), not “hate speech” — the government deems fitting. You will NOT own a gun, even if you’re not a criminal and only wish to defend yourself. You will NOT keep most of your earnings, unless you join the swamp and contribute to Establishment politicians. You will NOT have a hot shower with a strong stream, you will NOT drink diet cokes over a certain size, you will NOT use plastic straws, you will NOT discriminate against people the government likes — transgenders, Muslims, Democrats. And you WILL be permitted to discriminate against people the government dislikes — Trump supporters, white Republican men, and wealth producers.

She claims “the people” are going to resist. Which people? About half the country supports President Trump and his policies. Maybe even more than half. Every day I talk to people who say, “I voted for him reluctantly. But he’s doing most of what he said he’d do, and I like most of what he’s doing.” Does Maxine Waters plan to start harassing these people too? Because when she throttles the press secretaries and others who work for the President, she’s by extension throttling his supporters.

What about these people? We’re talking millions of them. Numbers don’t determine truth. But when Democrats like Maxine Waters openly threaten intimidation and harassment — often illegal, immoral intimidation and harassment — against persons who don’t share her views, then you have a party now openly committed to tyranny. I suspect they always were. It’s just now they’re open about it.

Maxine Waters: What happens if you get your way? What do you think millions of people are going to do to YOU and your henchpersons if you manage to shout, scream, impeach, punch, throw out and otherwise intimidate away dissenting voices you do not wish to hear?

If civil war ever comes to America — and I certainly hope it does not — remember her words.
