Democrats and other advocates of gun control agree. They have a lot in common with Iran’s brutal dictator, Ayatollah Khamenei.
Like Khemenei, they have unending faith in government — so long as the government is controlled by them, of course.
Like Khemenei, they seek to disarm citizens, because once citizens are disarmed, things like the crime rate will no longer matter. Once a government faces a disarmed citizenry, there’s no recourse for fighting censorship, concentration camps, executions or anything else the government sees fit to do.
Leftists and Democrats are faith-driven zealots with an unlimited vision for the role of government in every aspect of the individual’s life.
Forget the superficial differences, such as Khemenei’s mystical-driven Islamic faith and the leftist tendency toward agnosticism or atheism. When it comes to who should hold the guns, they’re in total agreement: And it’s not you or I.
