Sigh. I really didn’t need to know the gun control positions of Mayim Bialik, who plays Amy on one of my favorite TV shows, The Big Bang Theory. But now I do. And – surprise, surprise – she’s a militant advocate of gun control. And I do mean militant.
Bialik wants people to use “civil disobedience” to support gun control.
Now, exactly what would that look like? Normally, civil disobedience refers to deliberately breaking a law that you believe is wrong.
Examples include laws requiring businesses to have segregated bathrooms. Or laws requiring you to register for the draft. Or laws requiring you to join an Obamacare health insurance collective.
How do you engage in civil disobedience to protest the lack of passage of a law?
Bialik does not specify. She probably counts on the unthinking proponents of gun control not to ask questions. Instead, they applaud her – in front of one another – while feeling morally superior, failing to address the obvious.
I can only imagine that civil disobedience against not having gun control means breaking into people’s homes and taking their guns from them.
Wow, that sounds like an even more stupid idea than gun control itself. Can Mayim Bialik, who’s such a brilliant comedy actor, really be that stupid?
Like I said: I would have been better off not knowing.
It shows you what totalitarians these rotten Hollywood leftists are, at heart. They are the first “civil libertarians” in history not to protest too much government, but too little.
