Why We’re in the Mess We’re In

If we would/could do as you suggest, we wouldn’t be in the mess we are in. We would have gone a long way toward resolving the many problems that seem to keep accumulating without end.

Even agreeing to disagree and going our separate ways is better than a civil war.

What ever happened to “Live and Let Live”, associations among the willing, and voluntary trading of value for value at mutual benefit? Seems that is a part of a society that never existed. Yet that is what I remember mostly experiencing as a child growing up in the Midwest 60 to 70 years ago. There were a few thorns in the rose bushes and thistles in the fields but they could easily be avoided.
