Why Violence Against Trump Supporters, But Not Sanders/Clinton Supporters?

A poster on Twitter who identifies as a Black Muslim man claims to have been the person seen on news video chasing and tackling a young white male Trump supporter following a Trump rally in San Jose Thursday. Using the Twitter handle “Houdini @sizzle_seyf”, the man posted the news video and retweeted congratulations on his chasing and tackling the Trump supporter.

What’s with all the violence at Donald Trump rallies? Why do we hear of no violence at Bernie Sanders rallies, or Hillary Clinton rallies coming from people who oppose these candidates?

Does this fact say something about the candidates – or their supporters?

If Donald Trump supporters lined up to throw eggs or punches at people going to Bernie Sanders rallies, what do you think would happen?

The conventional “wisdom” states that Donald Trump is irrational and hateful; therefore he inspires violence. Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton are full of peace, love and passion for the brotherhood of mankind. Therefore, nobody wants to attack them, or supporters at their rallies.

Ridiculous.

Remember: It’s Bernie Sanders supporters who are the ones throwing eggs and initiating violence against people, merely because they choose to go hear Donald Trump speak. It’s Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton supporters who promise to do things like shoot Donald Trump within days of his election, assuming he gets elected president.

Perhaps I missed the news story, but I don’t know of any Donald Trump supporters (or anyone else on the non-left) threatening to murder Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton within days of their election as president.

No, I’m not suggesting that all – or even most – people planning to vote for Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton are violent. But I can’t help but notice that the overwhelming amount (100 percent, from what I can tell) of the violence or the threat of violence is coming from the Sanders-Clinton side of the aisle, not the Trump or anti-Sanders-Clinton side.

Isn’t this a fact worth analyzing?

Imagine if Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders rallies experienced violence at the hands of Donald Trump supporters. The outrage would be deafening. Obama would probably have declared martial law, and the media would certainly have done the verbal equivalent. Shrieks of “hate” and “shame” would be everywhere. And I’m not suggesting such labels would be totally wrong. But why are there NO such reactions when day after day, at rally after rally, Donald Trump supporters are egged, harassed and attacked?

Is this still America? Well, yes – so long as you’re not a Donald Trump supporter. I say this not as a Donald Trump supporter. I do say it as a supporter of what used to be America.

There’s all this talk of how the Republican party has moved to the loony right. Is Donald Trump right wing? Members of his own party cannot agree on what his ideology actually is. Bernie Sanders, however, leaves no doubt that he is a hard left, hardcore, open and avowed socialist. He’s so socialist he served in the U.S. Senate as an independent, because the Democrats are too capitalist for him. Why are Republicans on the defensive for nominating Donald Trump, while Democrats are not even challenged for coming so close to nominating a virtual Communist? We live in crazy times, but not for any of the reasons most people claim.

Ironically, but logically, it makes sense that advocates of big government socialism are the ones to promote the most violence. Socialism is, after all, an ideology of violence. This applies to “democratic” socialism every bit as much as any other form of force. Confiscatory tax rates, socialized medicine, anti-free speech “anti-hate” codes, and mandatory participation in government schooling are not programs of liberty, individual rights and freedom. Nothing in the welfare-regulatory state as we know it, and the massive expansions planned by both Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton, involve voluntary participation. They are programs of compulsion, based on politically correct group-think and federally-mandated collectivism. Say what you will about Donald Trump and his movement. There’s much to criticize, no doubt. And Trump contradicts himself all the time. But socialism is the real deal. Bernie Sanders, in particular, advocates for the use of government force to mandate that people act according to the will of “the majority,” meaning that the individual rights of 49 percent or 45 percent who do not vote for the socialist programs will be sacrificed for the majority who do. On top of which, what remains of American prosperity and economic growth will be toast.

The initiation of violence at the Donald Trump rallies foreshadows the force to come when socialism – an ideology of force – continues to gain ground in what was once the land of individual liberty, private property, freedom of association and freedom of speech.

Shame on Bernie Sanders supporters and others who have squandered the glorious glimpse of liberty that America once promised. Violence will become the norm in a future we surrender to the advocates of those who will rule every aspect of our lives for our own “good.”
