Obama to Supreme Court: Spread the Weatlh

Barack Obama in a September 5, 2001, radio interview, regarding the Supreme Court under Chief Justice Earl Warren:

“[Chief Justice Warren] never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society … [and] to that extent as radical as I think people tried to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical.”

So, let me get this straight. A Supreme Court that stops short of imposing outright socialism on a nation should never be considered radical. Anything less than a Court that nullifies the Constitution should not be considered off the wall, or in any way unacceptable.

Ladies and gentleman, especially those 54 percent of you who voted for him…Allow me to introduce you to our next President of the United States. Just think. This is the successor to Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and Abraham Lincoln.

If I believed in God, I would say: ‘God help us all.’

I think I’ll say it anyway.
