There are people who seek power through acquiring lots of things via hard work.
There are people who seek power through manipulation or coercion of others.
Then there are people who don’t seek power at all. They seek accomplishment; fulfillment; achievement … but not power. Power doesn’t matter to them. They certainly want to be sovereign over their own lives, but not over the lives of others.
Life, from a rational perspective, isn’t about power. Life is about your own personal happiness and fulfillment. Power is a rationalization for the absence of a sense of fulfillment. If you go about life the right way, you won’t ever need or crave power … only to be sovereign, over yourself.
