The Psychology of Woke-ism & Socialism

Once upon a time, most people ignored or minimized their emotions. “If you feel it, forget it. Get over it.” Today, most people no longer do that. I don’t think there’s a single person under 30 who does it — ever. In a way, that’s a good thing. Even though feelings are not automatically and always right, they’re not always and automatically wrong, either. But that’s the point: You need your THINKING to determine what’s right or wrong, true or false, logical or illogical. If you think with your feelings, you’re no better off than back when you repressed your feelings. And actually, you might be worse off.

When you use your feelings as a substitute for cognition, then you’re (unknowingly perhaps) at war with your own mind. Your feelings can’t tell you what’s true. Only your thinking can. But if you go with what you feel, then you’re at the mercy of what your SUBCONSCIOUS mind tells you. It would be like listening to your dreams to tell you what decisions to make in life: which house or car to buy, which career to choose, whom to marry. Imagine if you didn’t introduce your conscious, thinking mind into those situations. Actually, many don’t. They haven’t been told how — or they haven’t been told that their feelings are not means of determining what’s right or true. Hence, the widespread mental health crisis nearly everybody seems to agree is happening in the once fairly civilized world.

By the way…this is how you get socialism. And woke-ism. When people refuse to think with reason, and instead think with their feelings, you get ridiculous, absurd or even toxic conclusions. That’s why we are where we are. Maybe not all of us — but sadly, most of us. And it’s generational. The younger you go, the worse this problem gets. And you see the voting accordingly.
