Socialism means the end of choice. Everything is run by the government. Sure, everything’s free. Well, someone else is forced to pay for it. But you lose your choices. The government says, quite logically, “Hey, we’re paying for it. It’s your only option. So get over it.” The spoiled brats demanding “socialist democracy” don’t get it. They feel it’s an imposition to have to pay for anything. They assume they can retain all the diverse and delicious choices, the ever present innovation and always expanding free market economy, while still enjoying the power of choice. But he who pays for your free life chooses — not you. You are no longer a customer or consumer. You’re just … a body. At best.
You cannot explain this to the growing number of socialist enthusiasts. It’s not just that they don’t want to hear it. They just don’t hear it. They are brainwashed to believe you are “racist” or something similarly awful to point any of this out to them.
