I have always told people: You are not responsible for other people’s choices; but you ARE responsible for how you respond to those choices, when they affect you. You are responsible for the kind of behavioral and psychological climate you create around you. If you are self-effacing, without boundaries, and you let people disrespect or walk all over you — then you are responsible for the climate you have created. You are responsible for the fact that people in your family or friend circles feel comfortable treating you with disrespect.
That’s how I view AOC and Mamdani openly mocking the reading of the names of the victims of the 9/11 catastrophe. They know full well they can get away with anything. How do they know this? They already get away with EVERYTHING. These loathsome scumbags face no accountability, no boundaries, no pushback, nothing. Yes, we react with outrage on social media. But AOC still gets power and remains the probable front runner for the leftist choice for President–because the left loves her. Mamdani too. If they went away, the left would find even worse. The left is a literally bottomless pit of inhuman depravity. Spitting on America while America takes it, takes it, and then takes some more.
At what point will the good guys stop taking it? And what will that look like? The rage, anger and resentment of decent people is growing. Eventually, it has to go somewhere.
