Why should Elon Musk have it all? Let’s take the wealth and spread it all out. Let’s make it so everyone will immediately and permanently have an income of, say, $200K per year. Medical care, cell phones, Internet–all those will be free, forever. Who but a racist pig could oppose this? Vote “socialist Democrat” immediately.
What if the people making all the money through innovation, hard work and risk-taking stop making money? What happens then? How can you spread non-existent wealth? Only a racist would ask.
This is the extent of the thinking — more precisely: feeling — giving rise to the Communism sweeping Democratic primaries across the country. The ignorance and shallowness of the thinking is stupendous. Yet here we are.
