I am disturbed by all the people who say a particular idea is “dangerous.” Ideas matter, of course. But the mere utterance of an idea does not give it the force or power of action. That’s why, in a free country, you have laws protecting you from the imposition via ACTION of Communism, Nazism or Sharia law; but you do not outlaw the ideas themselves. Leftists shriek daily that ideas such as liberty, individual rights, color blindness, free markets, private property, freedom of religion for non-Muslims, parental rights over the state’s education of children are all “dangerous.” By this they mean: physically dangerous, like pointing a gun at your head, or punching you. Therefore, let’s outlaw those ideas.
Once the stage is set to outlaw or regulate ANY idea, the stage is set for the regulation of all ideas. Indeed, the Democrats and leftists, true to their Communist ideals, are locked and loaded to determine whose ideas may be uttered, and whose will not. “Hate speech” will be ruled illegal, and the people in charge (Democrats exclusively, once they regain power) will define “hate.” When confronted with the contradiction between this approach and the First Amendment, they will scream, “Remember Trump.” And if that fails to convince, they will lock you up or shoot you. The Biden regime and COVID were a preview of that coming attraction, in case you think they don’t mean it.
