On this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” Democratic Socialists of America co-chair Megan Romer defended their proposals to abolish Senate, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and prisons.
No Senate, no prisons, no borders, and immediate government ownership of all businesses (large and small). No prisons for violent offenders, who will all roam free. Oh, and defund the entire U.S. military. Presumably, also, the censorship, gun confiscation and imprisonment for political dissension that has been part of every socialist dictatorship in history.
Perhaps most people voting Democrat don’t want these policies. But it’s what the Party they support now stands for. For specifics, check out Democratic officials in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, the Bronx, Portland Oregon, Seattle, Minneapolis, Denver, San Francisco, and a growing number of places (Asheville and Charlotte NC, Austin TX, Atlanta, Memphis TN and other places are moving in that direction). Also, the Democratic front runner for President in 2028 (AOC) agrees with this platform, and their second place candidate in 2016 and 2020 (Bernie Sanders) agreed too.
