Here’s the problem with bombing Iran bit by bit. The regime doesn’t care. Iran is not a free country. It’s already a totalitarian hellhole. Citizens of Iran have no rights. They are slaves of the government. The government of Iran has no stake in its citizens. Their citizens are lower than slaves, to the government. Kill a despot–they find a new despot. Destroy a highway, knock down a building. They don’t care. We can see we’re not getting very far. We can do one of two things here. Option #1: Do nothing. Withdraw, like the leftists and libertarians want. In time, perhaps soon, Iran will get nuclear weapons and immediately use them to incinerate and/or blackmail the world. Option #2: Go all the way. That’s how we defeated Japan in 1945. Maybe it’s not pretty. But do you have a better alternative? Are you willing to risk living in a world where Iran has nukes? Where every day will be 9/11 with a mushroom cloud and radiation? My hunch is that Trump will arrive at this conclusion. Nobody else has the guts.
I like the raw, honest and entirely accurate way U.S. Senator Tim Sheehy of Montana characterized the Iranian regime:
For 47 years the Iranian regime has been hunting us — vaporizing Marines, skinning Americans alive on camera, cutting our troops in half with EFPs, and celebrating every death.
They don’t care who you voted for.
They don’t care where you live.
They want every single one of us raped, burned, and cut into pieces.
This isn’t politics.
This is a death cult that has been at war with America since 1979… and we’ve been pretending otherwise.
