As California Governor Gavin Newsom confidently prepares himself for the presidency, his state prepares to make Muslim holy days official state holidays.
Leftist California would never make Christian or Jewish holidays state holidays — nor should they. Holidays should be a private matter, not a matter for the government to determine.
But the fact that leftist Californians want to close government offices and businesses on Muslim holy days is revealing. It shows how their goal isn’t to preserve American freedoms, such as church-state separation; nor is their goal secularism, since most Californians hardly live the Muslim lifestyle. Their goal is simply to destroy America.
California is on a massive collision course with the very soul of human freedom and individual rights. Unless all of America goes for the toxic brew of Soviet-Chinese-Cuban socialism and Sharia Law California wants, California will have to break off from America. And most of us will say: Good riddance. Remember: most Californians actually want this lunacy.
