If it were up to me, the people who work for a living (rather than vote for a living) would go on strike.
Demand that all charity be voluntary. Peter is free to give everything he earns to Paul, if he chooses; but in a free country, Peter is not free to rob Paul of 55 percent of his income to hand over to Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez or Mamdani. That’s tyranny posing as compassion. It’s brutal in its injustice and dishonesty. Government charity in the multiple trillions is not charity — it’s involuntary servitude. The career politicians take an 80 percent cut (check out Minnesota) for themselves, making them worse than mobsters.
Such a strike by the productive does not seem imminent. The productive keep on producing, the moochers keep on voting.
The fact remains: This enslavement of the productive for the sake of the mooching, voting political class isn’t good for anyone. It gradually erodes both morale and productivity — two things the political class counts on in order to get the loot. Socialism, even the American version that started out as wealth production through capitalism, cannot last forever. You cannot throttle your victims while demanding they produce more and more and more for the entitled elite, the members of America’s Uniparty and its corporate sponsors. Trump reportedly has Iran close to an agreement to never have nuclear weapons. Ever. The problem (other than any agreement with Iran is meaningless): The next Democratic administration will absolutely provide nuclear weapons for Iran, as Biden and Obama did by funding them with our tax money. So how do we stop the Democrats from doing what Trump will prevent Iran from doing?
The enemy at home is the biggest enemy of all.
