AI is not a threat unless the government uses it to manipulate and control people–which it will, of course. Technology is not, by itself, ever a danger. Only criminal actions are dangerous. By “criminal actions” I mean the initiation of physical force or fraud. When government is at least somewhat honest and highly limited, it protects us from criminal activities.
When government becomes corrupt–the overwhelming norm, not the exception– then government itself becomes the biggest criminal of all. Historically, Americans are not used to this fact, and don’t get it, because America never was a full blown dictatorship.
With Communists and fascists openly planning to complete their takeover in the foreseeable future (already consolidated in New York and other big cities), that will soon change. Unless we do to them what we used to do to criminals.
