The Root Causes of Trump Derangement Syndrome

You don’t need a mental health professional to validate that Trump Derangement Syndrome is a form of insanity. TDS refers to collectivism: Harboring the false belief that turning an entire city or civilization into a prison camp, where everyone is forced to follow the illogical, unjust and contradictory edicts of a government run by loathsome career politicians who make a fortune off your involuntary servitude, will somehow lead to a BETTER outcome than the economic and individual liberty of capitalism–that’s plainly insanity. The people who believe this insanity detest Trump because he stands just a little bit in the way of their achieving their totalitarian fantasy. They were insane before Trump Derangement Syndrome became a thing, and they will still be insanely destructive long after Trump is gone.

Maybe Mamdani will build a wall to keep people inside his prison pen. Maybe he will succeed where Stalin, Mao and so many others ultimately failed. As the city declines and falls, maybe the mystique of its former glory will prevail, and citizens who aren’t part of the Manhattan elite will wish to live in socialist squalor created by a command-and-control, post office/DMV-like economy for groceries and housing; and maybe they’ll come to appreciate the use of social workers instead of trained police to protect them from serial killers and rapists. Maybe they will like a government friendly to Sharia Law, which favors throwing gays off rooftops and beheading non-believers.

I doubt it.

It’s interesting. When a Republican turns leftist, you witness in the turncoat indications of mental imbalance, insanity and/or obvious character corruption.

When a Democrat turns Republican-ish, you see just the opposite: more authenticity, more intelligence, more rationality and hidden character emerging. Democrats turning Republican? It’s a much rarer phenomenon, but a case in point is U.S. Senator Fetterman of Pennsylvania.

Have you noticed this trend? And, if so, what does it tell you?

People of questionable mental stability or squishy moral integrity are (like all of us) under tremendous pressure to say, do and claim to believe utterly irrational, self-evidently untrue things. We live in the most diabolically psychopathic times since the Middle Ages. Only the strongest can stand like a rock under the pressure. It shouldn’t surprise us so many blink.

As for Rand Paul — I suspect it’s the money and perks of D.C. that finally got to him. He plans to be rich and in office 50 years from now, just like his cohorts. If we thought he had principles–we were mistaken.
