The evidence in support of the Huxley quote, with regard to loving your oppression by the government and media: The events of 2020 and 2021; the millions of people who endorse the ludicrous, deranged fantasies of the Leftist Establishment in culture, business, education, entertainment, media, government and technology.
It all just seems easier to BELIEVE the government and the media; and they delude themselves they’re free and well-informed.

A gunman in Michigan shoots 10 people and sets a church on fire. So many violent incidents — it’s hard to keep track of them all.
All the violence spreading throughout America. Does it mean there are more bad and evil people? Or does it mean good people are afraid to think, speak, or judge evil for what it is? I see it as the latter. There are probably just as many good or decent people as ever before. The problem is they are too tolerant, and too lacking in moral self-confidence to call a spade a spade. Bad guys sense this and stand ready to pounce and destroy.
We want to live in a world where violent predators feel ashamed, or at least afraid of being defeated. Today, they flourish, and that’s why violence and terrorism are on the rise.

The government shutdown spectacle is ALWAYS a media game. And the Republicans ALWAYS lose because the media is totally on the Democrats’ side. And regardless, both parties continue to spend like drunken sailors. It has been happening since the 1980s.
Break the cycle: Let the shutdown continue indefinitely. Shut down the federal government except for defense and Social Security/Medicare. Set these latter two programs on a path to privatization.
Don’t like this idea? Then enjoy decades more of this ridiculous fiasco. And enjoy the hyperinflation coming our way if the government keeps expanding the money supply to support unlimited spending by corrupt career politicians becoming millionaires off our republic.
