There are three questions that would destroy most of the arguments on the left:
1. Compared to what?
2. At what cost?
3. What hard evidence do you have?
There are very few ideas on the left that can pass all three of those kinds of things.
Leftism is the inarticulate cognitive collapse of savagery. At one time, Sowell’s criticism would have applied. Twenty or fifty years ago, leftists were merely wrong. Today woke “progressives” are toxic wrecking balls, orchestrating unhinged and psychotic attacks on civilization itself.

Some naive fools ask, “Are leftist mayors in Democratic cities really destroying their cities on purpose?” Ask yourself this: If these mayors of Chicago, Los Angeles and Portland OR are NOT doing it on purpose, then what does it say about their sanity and intelligence? They are a clear and present danger to their cities, to the rule of law and to the American republic so long as they’re allowed to keep doing what they’re doing.
