“Trusted, local and essential,” says a sign demanding continuing government funding of hard-left propaganda organizations NPR and PBS.
Trusted? By whom? By those with financial or ideological investment in the government. By sycophants (“Look at me, I listen to NPR”) or lost, ignorant souls who trust the narrative served up to them. By people who feel soft-spoken, pseudosophisticated actors calling themselves “objective journalists” can provide a substitute for critical thinking and truth.
Local? Seriously? Since when is anything about Washington DC local? Who could think such a thing other than an inside-the-Beltway nitwit on the government payroll?
Essential? To whom? And for what purpose?
Newsmax reported that prior to narrow passage in the U.S. Senate, some Republicans balked at making DOGE cuts permanent–even cuts to NPR and PBS!
It’s madness.
If Republicans can barely muster up the votes even to cut NPR, then the Republican Party is a total fraud.
President Trump is the real deal, but Republicans, even if they aren’t Communists, amount to the same thing, because their weakness leads to the same end result as the iron fist of totalitarianism that “Democrats” now openly embrace.
Put in fiscal terms, if Republicans blow YET ANOTHER opportunity to cut spending like it’s 1776, then unlimited spending will go on into oblivion–until America itself, and its fiat currency, finally implode into a state of oblivion.
