As an example of the kind of idiotic narcissism we’re up against with career politicians in the Imperial City:
Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.), ranking member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, called the HHS DOGE directive “illegal” and blasted it for “forcing an indiscriminate funding cut for research institutions across the country that will be nothing short of catastrophic.”
Earth to Swamp creature: It’s the SPENDING that’s indiscriminate. Not the cutting. You cannot cut too much. Not from departments never authorized by the Constitution, and benefiting nobody but power elites. Catastrophic? To whom?

DOGE says FEMA sent a $59 million payment last week to hotels in NYC to house illegal aliens.
No surprise. It was a twofer for Bidenista Commiefascists: Redistribution of wealth; and destruction of a great city. It will continue unless Republicans in Congress step up, support Trump and DEFUND everything.
It’s impossible to entrust ANYONE with unlimited sums of money (without accountability) and not see a really, really bad outcome, as President Trump and Elon Musk are uncovering. It’s important to remember that this problem is NOT fixable UNLESS we take most of the power and money away from the government that we currently give it.
America’s founders understood this better than most people today. However, America’s founders, while optimistic for the prospects of success and prosperity of a free nation, could not be expected to grasp (back in 1787) the amount of wealth and capital the American economy could and did ultimately create.
America was SO successful in growing its prosperity over many generations that the government merely went along for the ride. Perhaps THE most serious mistake was going off the gold standard and enabling politicians to manipulate and devalue our currency, use inflation to spend like drunken sailors, and enrich themselves while buying off voters. This enabled politics to become big business.
We, the people, have created a monster. We, the people, have to fix it. Donald Trump and Elon Musk are an amazing gift. We can’t blow this opportunity to right this ship!
