I strongly disagree with Trump on this one [see the meme], even though I totally get and share his frustration. In a TRULY free country, there are no licenses for networks or individuals to speak. The government should have no power to grant a license for speech or broadcast in the first place; the very premise is dictatorial.
I recognize that under the FCC we already have licensing of telecommunications broadcasting; but it’s wrong, unconstitutional, and was always wrong. Having said that, the left absolutely believes in its own “right” to suppress all speech it dislikes, deeming it “misinformation” under the law. Trump is fighting fire with fire here. He’s saying, two can play that game. In some cases, that’s the right way to go. But freedom of speech is so fundamental to everything else that makes life worth living, you can’t ever take it away, no matter how deserving of condemnation the speaker may be.
Should CBS be called out on its willful propaganda operation in favor of America’s Democrat Communist Party? Of course. Nobody calls out the morally rancid media Establishment like Trump, and for that he has been a heroic blessing. Were it not for the First Amendment, he would have been imprisoned long before now. But let’s not obliterate the precious First Amendment that the ruling Obama-Biden-Harris regime is dismantling right before our eyes; instead, let’s champion it, and prosecute not CBS, but the lawless regime officials they assist in their sleezebag, anti-news operation masquerading (hilariously) as objectivity.
Am I still voting for Trump? You better believe it. It’s a choice, in this instance, between certain death vs. mere error/confusion. (Trump, by the way, is right about most things while his opponents are wrong about literally everything.) I am confident we won’t get a dictatorship under his watch; under the existing regime, we already have one. And, to be brutally candid: If America is to go down, I want to go down fighting with a real freedom-loving patriot like Donald Trump rather than submission to a cackling whore operating as a hapless puppet for what may emerge as the most evil regime in the history of human governments.
P.S. In my eyes, any conservative, libertarian or Objectivist who supports and votes for Kamala Harris is irredeemably corrupt. There’s no coming back from an evasion of that magnitude, and I want no part of you. I take your attack on my liberty, my life and all that I value personally. The fact that you KNOW better puts you way, way below the moral status of any poor brainwashed, befuddled soul who ignorantly and unwittingly supports their own destruction by voting America into an impoverished dictatorship.
Some supposedly pro-capitalist/pro-individual rights/pro-Bill of Rights advocates (many of them libertarians or Ayn Rand Institute camp followers) are claiming: “Trump is a protectionist. Protectionism isn’t capitalism; therefore, I will have to vote for Kamala Harris.” Good grief. Again, the evasion here is staggering. If you’re actually smart enough to be an advocate of freedom, including unhampered capitalism, you can’t be that stupid. So I’m assuming the issue here is either a terrible, internal psychological conflict, or downright poor character. Even though I am a mental health professional, it’s hard for me to speculate on what would cause an individual who loves economic liberty to hate Trump SO much that they’ll vote for an open Communist-fascist like Kamala Harris (and Tim Walz), instead.
It’s true that protectionism isn’t capitalism. In a free market, parties are free to trade with one another as they see fit. However, China is an open adversary of the United States. The Chinese government is a totalitarian regime, one with probable military intentions against the United States. When you’re trading with China, you’re essentially trading with the Chinese Communist government. You can argue pro and con about whether Trump’s proposed trade barriers with China are morally or economically justified. I only know that when you’re dealing with Chinese companies, you’re not dealing with any companies that are remotely free. China is an explicit command-and-control economy. When a President puts barriers on Chinese companies, it’s essentially the same as imposing sanctions against a totalitarian government.
You don’t get to say, “Trump isn’t a pure, consistent capitalist; therefore, I’m voting for the totalitarian Communist.” Not with me, anyway. I am not falling for it for one second.
