If Trump and Musk are Censored, What About the Rest of Us?

“When the government decides what is disinformation and what is the truth … You no longer live in a free society. You live under totalitarianism,” says a meme on Facebook.

We may already be there. Case in point: I tried listening to the Trump/Elon Musk interview on X last night. It had crashed. Not for everyone, but not just for me, either. Elon Musk wrote on X a “yeah” in agreement when it was suggested this was censorship due to the companies partly responsible for the transmission of the interview — companies all run by Commiefascists giving millions to Kamala.

We’re already there.

The Founders warned us. Ayn Rand warned us too, back in the 1960s and 1970s. She said that a fascist state is one where for-profit companies operate (fairly openly) as agents for the government. It’s a win-win, for them. Billions in profits — and control over the people that the politicians want. The politicians are beholden to the companies, because the companies have all the money; and the companies are beholden to the government, who sets the policies the corporations must follow.

If you don’t think we’re already there, then I can’t pop your bubble. We’ll just have to wait until someone from the totaltiarian state comes knocking on your door.

Listen to their words and their actions. They’re even warning us. Tim Walz says it’s time to “push back” against those who uphold free speech. He, Kamala and all the others believe that the government DOES get to determine what misinformation is. Just ask Elon Musk and Donald Trump. If they can get censored, then what happens to the rest of us?
